42 degrees and sunny. i made it out the door. that is always the hardest part!
i decided to incorporate some speedwork this year and try to improve my time in the 10k, half and full marathon. i've stayed at the same pace for far too long. so, today it began...
i ran my first mile at 8:20. that would be BOSTON pace for me. too bad i'd have to keep that pace for 26.2 miles just to qualify. yikes!
my second mile was at 8:45, and i ran the rest right around 9 minute miles.
i've also decided to start doing weights for my arms again.
i'm determined to run my best marathon time in chicago.

Great job Wendy! Your times are really good for your training goals. I too am adding weight for my arms this year. Mostly bc I want them to look better in sleeveless tops :)
