has anyone ever done team in training?if so, what was your experience? please share.
there is a meeting coming up here soon and i'm interested in finding out more.
is travel to the marathon and registration fee included? there are some really neat marathons
coming up and i love the idea of raising money to help w/this cause. it's just a thought right now.

I have run with Team in Training 4 times. Dublin, San Diego, Disney 2 times. It really depends on what you are looking for and your particular area/ TNT Coach, etc. What I mean is, if you are looking for a BIG TEAM type thing and you have a small TNT group, chances of the small group having runners who run your exact pace are slim. When I did it, I was looking for a way for my running to have a little extra meaning. I think all of those miles should be more than about me, if possible. I did not need the big group thing and most of my training was solo. (no one was running my pace really). I think it is a great thing and for a great cause, so I would say go for it.

I ran with Team in Training in Buffalo, NY, for the Buffalo Marathon/Half-Marathon this past May. I had so much fun with the experience that I am going to sign up again this coming January. Not only was I running for a cause that was very important to my family and friends, but I was able to learn proper eating and training habits from my coaches. I also learned discipline when it came to my training, something that I have carried over to this day. Best of all --- I met some really great people and made new friends. The fundrising can be tough, but when you accomplish your goals at the end, it's really worth it. Good luck!

If you start team in training, just make sure that you remember other runners who aren't in team in training. They are always mean to me for some reason, but it would be great for you to do it and run with them for a great cause! can't wait to see what you decide.

This sounds like such a GREAT idea, I wish we had something like that here! Looking forward to hearing how you get on and what you decide Wendy! Do you get to choose your cause?
I'm not sure which ones are included - I did see Honolulu (not sure if I could be on a plane that long though) and Arizona.
