Week 4 called for: 3, 4, 3, 9.
monday - was a quick 3 miles around the neighborhood to get it in before it hit 100 degrees. it was hot, sweaty, and stinky. monday is garbage day, so i had to run by lots of smelly garbage cans waiting to be picked up.
tuesday - 5 miles with a friend. nice to run with someone for a change. another hot day. this is definitely the hottest summer i have ever trained in!
thursday - 3. felt good the whole time, and enjoyed running a new route. i ran in a braid rather than a ponytail, and i think it worked better. sometimes it's the little things that make a difference.
saturday - so, so hot. it was a busy morning, and i didn't have a chance to run until mid-afternoon when it was already close to 100.
i wimped out and didn't go.
i ended up biking 10 miles later that evening. that's about the equivalent of running 9 miles, right?! ha ha. i know it's not, but it was a great bike ride anyway.
week 5 is 3, 5, 3, 10. another hot one!
here's to getting all the miles in this coming week.

This is definitely going to be a hot one this week! I'll be on the treadmill except for my long run day and I'll be up early for that! Great job my friend! Keep up the good work!
Been so hot here too, I feel so far behind. Great job!
I hear you, the heat sucks! I do my long runs outside and we start at 7am, the latest. Weekday runs I use the treadmill, it's too hot for me. Good luck this week!
it is tough to run in the heat but i bet in another week you'll start to feel a little acclimated to it (well, if it weren't close to 100!!) did you find a bottle or belt to use?
