on the schedule this week was 4, 8, 5, 12.
monday - walked 3 miles with my friend carol.
saw this amazing sunset.
if the work of God's hands are so full of wisdom and
power and grandeur and majesty and beauty, what must this God be
like in himself!
what will it be to see the Creator himself!
tuesday - walked 3 miles with the fam. ran 4 earlier in the day. 9 min. pace. felt good.
wednesday - ran 5 in 93 degrees. i'm ready for some cooler weather. planned on running my 8 today, but ran out of time.
thursday - much needed rest day. it was our first day of school. my 7th year of homeschooling! a busy, but good day for everyone.
entering the tough weeks of training now. it's going to be harder to get my middle of the week runs in with school in session.
friday - found out today that my sister ashley is engaged! so happy for her!
ran 8. had a good run, even though it was still close to 90.
i put on my saucony rides today, and they felt so heavy. i've been running in my saucony kinavara 2's the entire training. now i'm trying to decide what to do...do i continue running in the kinavaras? i've read different opinions on this. some believe it's too little shoe for a full marathon. others have run in them and loved them. i guess it just comes down to personal preference. i think i'm going to try running in them for some longer runs that are coming up and see how i feel...
saturday - 12. tried to beat the rain. warm and humid already this morning. my legs felt a little sore from last night, but today was my only chance for a long run. so off i went. it sprinkled a little, but nothing major which was good because i've ruined an ipod in the rain before and i always run with my phone. hoping to get to a baseball game tonight, if the rain holds off.
making a cheesecake for tomorrow. we'll be celebrating my niece's first bday and my hubby's 40th.

Good job on your training this, you got all your runs even though you had a lot on your plate. That is awesome! I would be careful with Kinvaras for the full distance since they have little support, on the other side, if you did all your training in them, your body got used to it and you should be fine. Good uck!
Yum, cheesecake! Not one of my favorite things to make (I tried once and it was a flop), but it's one of my favorite desserts to eat. You must be a great cook!
Great job Wendy! You continue to inspire me! Praying for you as you enter this tougher time in your training and school being in session! Love you friend!
Great job this week, and what a lovely photo! Happy birthday to your hubby!
