saucony, of course. they are supposed to be very lightweight - 6.2 oz. my other ones were about 9 or 10 oz., so i'm expecting to notice a difference. they are actually a 'racing shoe' for distance, so i probably won't do all of my training in them.i signed up for a 10k this saturday. i don't think i've ever run a 10k. i know i will like it much better than a 5k, but probably not as much as a half marathon. my friend sherri will be running it, she has lost over 60lbs. in the last 6 months. i am so proud of her!

Ahhh, I had a pair of Sauconys in my hands this weekend. They were much lighter than my Asics. I have a new pair of Asics on order and can't wait to get them. I love new running shoes! I plan to try the Saucony bran when the new pair wear down.
Have a great race this weekend and take lots of pictures so we can get pumped-up for our races looking at your pictures=)!
Those look great! I am going to get fitted for some new shoes in the next couple of weeks. I am super excited! The store I am getting fitted at has saucony, asics, mizuno(which I have been wanting to try) and other running brands. I have been wearing asics gel nimbus for my last 4 pair and they have been great....except when I have increased my distance. So, I need to try out some others, I think.
Have fun running the 10k. There is a 10k race close to me that I am thinking about running in,too. It's May 2...but a lot will have to work out for me to do it. We will see if it will work out.
Ooohh, they look nice! I noticed that you and Terri say you order your shoes - do you try them on somewhere beforehand or how does that work?
My shoe of choice has always been adidas supernova - maybe I should branch out the next time and try something new. Only recently have I discovered somewhere that sells Sauconys - until then I had never come across them.
Hope your 10k goes well. We have a 10k/half marathon coming up near here on 17th May. Would love to try for the half but they close the finish line at 2 hours 30 mins.....it would be so discouraging to finish and they were all packed up! Maybe I'll do the 10k for now! Other than the marathon that one time, I have only every run 1 other race - a 5k. Kim, I hope your 10k works out for you!

Jane, I ordered my shoes from Zappos. But have also ordered from Tel-a-Runner and Roadrunner. I only order on-line the same type of shoes I've already been running in. When I want to try new styles and brands then I go to a running store.

I usually order the same kind of Saucony's, but these are new and I have no idea how they will fit. We'll see. Zappo's is good about returns, if I need to.
