2

a rainy day. 2 on the treadmill.
the trick now is to keep up running through the winter. i'm not a fan of the treadmill, so it is always a challenge. i wish there was another marathon close because i would really consider it, since i am trained and ready to go.

here is what i am thinking for 2010, so far...

april - 1/2
may - 20k
july - 10k
october - 1/2 or full (haven't decided yet)

You've probably looked already, but have you checked marathonguide.com for another marathon?

It's hard for me to do a lot of running on the treadmill, too. Knowing you can do it at any hour and don't have to carry your water helps a little.

Hey Wendy! I am planning on running a few half marathons that are in Kansas City in November and just might run a full the weekend before Thanksgiving. It is small race called the Gobbler Grind. It is a pretty flat course.

I have learned to try to enjoy the treadmill more, knowing that I will be stuck on it a few days a week in the winter. I have found that running on the treadmill at the gym instead of mine at home helps.

I hope you can find a race to run! I know it is bummer to train and train and then be done for the season.

Hey Wendy, well, me and the treadmill are good friends... unfortunately, I have NEVER found someone who can watch my kids while I go out for runs, and my husband works super long hours. So with homeschooling now, I run while they play in the garage (that's where the treadmill is). It works, and it keeps me um, humbled. Realizing that I am exactly where I am supposed to be with my children. It makes every run much more spiritual for me for some reason because it's me coming face to face with my vocation. Also, the kids are there. They see me taking care of myself and setting a good example - there's some homeschooling for you! School of life, baby!
I like your plan. Mine is similarly spaced races, but I am not sure that a full is on tap for me. We will see how the next two races go with my hip.
