3 on the treadmill again. someone asked me why i'm running on the treadmill, if it's so nice out.
good question. i know, it's crazy. i wish i could run outside right now, since it's been in the 50-60's.
i'm home w/the kids all day and by the time my husband gets home, it's dark. i don't run in the dark alone. if i had a running partner, i'd run at night.
so, winter for me will include lots of treadmill running and not too many miles.
i guess i could get up at the crack of dawn and run, but i like my bed too much.
i also like to get the kids breakfast and snuggle with them in the mornings.
i'm looking forward to a 7 mile cross-country "race" (race is used loosely here) next weekend.
it's always cold and muddy and a little crazy w/fun outfits. i'm looking forward to sharing it w/you.
here's a picture from last year. i guess that means i've had this blog for over a year?!

Hey, 3 miles on the treadmill is better than nothing, right? Good luck in your race next weekend.
Wendy, I am with you. Home with the kids all day and my husband works extraordinarily long hours. So yep, I run on the 'mill.
I have in the past allowed that to be an excuse to not do it. No more. I have embraced that this is the season of life I am in. Soon enough the kids will be old enough for me to leave them home alone while I go out for a run, but seriously, I am not wanting to rush that along. Sooooo, I am embracing the 'mill. I look at it as a humble part of my vocation as a stay at home, homeschooling mom.
Dreadmill – I don’t know how you do it. The weather was so bad yesterday that I was forced on the treadmill and could not wait to get off it after an hour. It’s better then nothing, but much prefer the outside and solid ground. A friend of mine likes the treadmill and says it makes him faster.
I ran when my daughter was a baby and in a baby jogger and then I started up again when she was a teenager. I don't think running on the treadmill is all that bad. If you've got a drink, a towel and a fan, you're set!
I can handle the treadmill. Sometimes, I look forward to a run on the treadmill. I can zone out and not have to worry about paying attention to cars or worry about getting bit by a dog!
I am glad you are keeping at it! Have fun in your race!
i'm not a fan of running in the dark either... i need to figure something out though, because i don't think i can survive the winter on the 'mill!
good luck and have fun in the xc-style race next weekend!
