cross-country race

finished the 7 mile cross-country race today. the course was really muddy this year, which made it even more fun. there was rope climbing, jumping bails of hay (this made me a little nervous - they were really tall and there was a pretty big jump from one to the next), several creek crossings (one was almost waist deep on me!), and tons of mud. it was great! last year was really fun too, but it was super cold and there was more ice than mud. it was so nice to run it this year in 50 degree weather.
here we are before:we couldn't believe how many newspapers took our picture! i guess we were looking awfully stylish, so who could really blame them...
here we are after:

I think I recognize your eyes beneath that green wig. Did I guess right?! But the gal in the neat brown hat is muddier and it sounds like you got muddy. Hmm... I'm not sure which one is you!

Sounds like a really fun race! With a great bunch of friends!

Yep, green wig! We were more muddy on our back side because we slid down so many hills. :)

lol! love the outfits - they conceal the mud fairly well. ...compared to a white or gray t-shirt of course. sounds like a fun time!
