can't believe a week has already gone by. july is just flying...
this week calls for 4,7,4,14. i'm a little concerned about getting my 14 in. it's supposed to be 90+ degrees here with a heat advisory this weekend, and it's a super busy weekend for us. last sunday, i ran 9 miles in a heat advisory (not knowing there was one at the time) and i had a headache for the rest of the day. i don't recommend that. i guess that explains why i didn't see anyone else out...
hopefully i can fit it all in, but if not i will just have to break up the distance.

So sorry about your sweet dog. Been there. It's hard.
Hope you don't have to break up your 14. When you increase your mileage next time, knowing you already did a full 14 might give you some extra confidence.
Maybe you could drink more in the days before you run, maybe some Gatorade and maybe eat more salty foods, like pretzels or saltines. Hope the headache stays away.
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!!! Start now and maybe try to get your run in before the big warm up. I'm in the deep south so most of my long runs have to start around 4am because usually by 8 it's already 90(usually there is a nap later in the day;))
So sorry about maggie. Will pray for comfort.
Sorry to hear about your family pet. I;m sure its difficult. Hope you manage to get your miles in. :)
So sorry about your Maggie. It's incredibly hard to lose a pet like that. My dog is pushing 13 and I think about that day all the time.
Good luck with your long run in the heat!
So sorry about Maggie...been there - twice! Not fun. Good luck on getting in your 14 miles!
oh wendy... i'm sorry and sad for your family :( i know it's hard. think of all the sweet memories she blessed your family with. :)
hope you got the long run in. it's hard to get it done in this heat. i've had to get up early (not my fave time of day!) but it's worth getting it done. drink LOTS before an during!!!
thanks everyone. it has been hard, especially to see the kids so sad. we're all going to miss her so much.
