i have fallen in love with a house. we went to the open house this weekend and it was like we walked into the house that was meant for us. it is in town, but it is in a wooded area. lots of windows. kitchen open to the living room. it has more space to host our small group on wednesday nights (which we do frequently), skylights (which i have always loved), vaulted ceilings, and i could go on and on. lots of things we love. of course, there are down sides too...more money, moving away from neighbors we love, not being within walking distance of a park. oh, and selling a house. you know, the minor details.
i know if it was meant to be, things will fall into place. we're not in the making an offer stage. we're just making a list of pros and cons and running the numbers. i need to detach myself a little emotionally and not mentally move into this house. i tend to only think of the positive aspects; thankfully my husband has a better balance.
i haven't run for 3 days. the weekend ended up being a soggy mess and super busy. planning to run today and get back on track.

Crossing my fingers that it will all work out! :)
Looks like an amazing house! I'm sure if it's right, it will all work out. Thank goodness for the balancing out of our husbands!
We sold our house last September - FSBO. I felt like our house had to always be very clean - so get ready for that if you sell.
Is there a good place to run nearby? That's a must, right?!
yeah, i'm not looking forward to that part of it.
my running route would be a lot of the same areas, so that will be nice.
pretty house...and I'm soo with you in the same house hunting boat. ah.....;)
how cute! i know what you mean about getting emotionally attached. i am thankful my man brings me back to reality - all too often! i'll be praying for you and the decisions and timing. :)
I feel for you. We just took our house off the market. We were doing the FSBO thing, but had it listed on the MLS system so that we would get showings from realtors and would pay a buyers agent. We had it sold too, but then the other contract feel thru. It was a great way to say 3% commission. The paperwork part was pretty easy on the selling side.
I have a hard time removing my emotions too. I guess that is why we have husbands, they are better at that!
