book

just got back from a canoeing/camping trip. haven't run for 3 days. planning on getting in some miles this afternoon. can't wait!

i read this book on our way there.
i had been wanting to read it for awhile.
once i started, i couldn't put it down. i finished it during the 3 1/2 hour car ride, which wasn't the best idea because i felt a little car sick. but, i was captivated. even though i don't see myself running ultramarathons anytime soon (or ever), i found it very inspiring to read about someone who has. this is someone who runs marathons (26.2 miles) as training runs! i really liked how dean talks about how so much of running is mental and not just physical. that is so true. and, that is one of the things that keeps me coming back to the marathon.

a great read!
